“I was 19 when I decided to follow my love for food and technology. I didn’t know where it would lead, but I was sure of one thing: I wanted to create something big. That’s when I began selling churros outside schools and colleges, setting up a small cart and hoping people would stop by. It was a modest start, but I believed it could grow into something as exciting as Krispy Kreme or Dunkin’ Donuts.
After a few months on the streets, we opened a tiny shop in Madhapur. It had just a handful of tables and barely enough space to move around, but people kept coming back. Week after week, we broke our own records. That small shop led to a bigger space and eventually to one of the largest central kitchens in South India. Today, Churrolto has multiple outlets across Hyderabad, each carrying forward the same spirit we started with.
I grew up in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, in a family of doctors. While medicine wasn’t my path, I have always dreamed of giving back to society. One day, I want to run hospitals that provide free care to those who can’t afford it. The profits from Churrolto and my tech venture are my stepping stones to make that dream possible.
In the nine years since that first churro cart, I have learned that entrepreneurship isn’t a smooth road. For every good day, there are ten bad ones. But if you stay focused on the larger vision, those tough days become part of the story. Our goal at Churrolto is simple: feeding a billion.
From day one, we have aimed to create food people can’t find anywhere else. Every dish carries a Churrolto twist, something familiar yet different enough to surprise you. Just as important is the culture inside the kitchen. I tell my team to treat every customer like they would treat their own mother, with warmth and respect.
When I started, I didn’t think of myself as particularly smart, and that turned out to be a blessing. I didn’t overthink; I just jumped in and figured it out. Each milestone in this journey has been a lesson in persistence and belief. My family and team have stood by me through it all, and together we are building something bigger than just a food brand.”
