"Religion dictates that we cover every part of our body from head to toe except our eyes; the opposite gender has no clue of how we look. They shouldn't be able to tell anything about our physical appearance- young, old, skinny, plump, brown, white, anything! And this in turn is also supposed to help us avoid any inappropriate attention from men. But it doesn't work that way; men leer and say things regardless of all this. It's the mindsets of these men that need to be addressed if we want to bring about any change in the way women- veiled and unveiled- are treated in our society.

Most of us are neither forced by our college nor family into wearing something that we don't want to. Each of us wears it a little differently, the way we want to. Some choose not to wear it at all and that's completely alright; it's a personal choice and the values espoused by the wearing of this can also be achieved in other ways. I personally like wearing it, and find it super comfortable, so why not?"
