Battling all odds...

"My life was much like a film before the storm hit me. My daughter, husband and I were a small family and we were all we had for each other. Those were the happiest days of my life. Just talking to them on the dinner table, watching movies and going out made our lives
colourful. One day, my daughter had severe pain and the doctor diagnosed her with breast cancer. We put all our finances into saving her but failed.
It took us a long time to move on. After a few years, I had tremendous pain in my breasts too. I was scared to even meet a doctor. But when I did, they said I was suffering from the same disease - breast cancer. When people have such diseases, their close ones support them and become their backbone. But for me, it was different. My family and friends started distancing me. Even my husband was cold to me. Everybody thought it was a contagious disease and that’s how I got it, from my daughter. Apprehensive about his own life, my husband threw me out of the house. We were really close and we loved each other dearly, I know it. Just a doubt about his life changed him so much that he left me when I needed him the most. I was shattered. I saw everything we built together - our dreams, our family, our home - I saw everything collapse, not bit by bit, but all at once. I thought it was over."
