Source of change!
- 07 May 2018
"My family has been a loyal follower of Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation. My mother is a yoga practitioner herself. So, growing up, I was introduced to a lot of traditional yogic practices and forms. Although I
learnt yoga as a child, I was never really dedicated. But when I saw the kind of response my mom gets from her students, it inspired me. People thank her for making their lives better and bringing down their ailments. That’s when I decided to become a yoga trainer too. My mom was shocked. A lazy kid like me giving it all to wake up early and eat just healthy food made from organic products - it was quite unbelievable. But, I’m proud of my decision. I took a six-month residential training in hatha yoga last year. It has changed my life for the good. Personally, I deal with stress better. I sleep for about five hours and that’s absolutely enough for me. Apart from this, it’s the change I’ve brought about in the lives of others that satisfies me. My students range from an old man to a school-going kid. I help people dealing with diseases like cancer and diabetes feel better. I remember one of Sadhguru’s quote that says: do what you love and make sure that brings a change in another person’s life. I think I’m just following that."
