“Our generation is full of global citizens. Most of us are based out of more than one city or country. We’re always
travelling to explore new things and expand our horizons. That’s the story behind me becoming an actor too. Rather, that’s the story behind me entering the cinema. I did my graduation in architecture in Bhopal four years ago. Although my family is settled in Australia, I didn’t want to live there. I wanted to be here and explore my country and at the same time, find new things to do. In my early 20s, I felt it was too early to settle down with one career option. To be honest, I never want to settle in just one field.
We’re global
citizens, like I said, and that’s the reason why I want to do more than one thing. Even when I entered the cinema, I first began as an art director. But now, I have done casting, direction as an assistant and now I’m also an actor. There’s so much to do, why settle with just one thing? I have
realised that it’s not just me who thinks like this. There are so many youngsters who don’t want to be stuck in one profession. My director, Harsha, is an inspiration when it comes to perseverance. Although his family was not in a financially strong phase, he continued to work hard and take all the challenges that came his way. With this film, he has now proved his passion and the kind of determination he has.
If we have the clarity about what we want to do, nothing should stop us. That’s the only way to success, I believe.”
