“We feel truly fortunate to be part of the Maha Kumbh Mela, an event that happens only once in 144 years. It’s hard to put into words how massive and well-organized everything is. From the moment we arrived, we could see how much effort has gone into making this possible.
Indian Railways has set up Jan Ashray camps right outside Prayagraj Junction Railway Station. These camps are convenient for pilgrims arriving by train, and the staff and Police authorities are doing an excellent job managing the large crowds.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also arranged Jan Ashray camps near Someshwar Ghat for just ₹100 per day. These accommodations are basic but well-maintained, offering a budget-friendly option for devotees who want to stay closer to the ghats.
We traveled here from Hyderabad with a group of friends, and being here has been unforgettable. Watching the Triveni Sangam and taking a dip in the holy waters is something we’ll always remember. There’s a sense of calm and connection in the air that’s hard to explain.
If you ever get a chance to visit the Kumbh Mela, don’t miss it. It’s more than a religious gathering—it’s an experience that brings people together and surely is a once in a lifetime experience!”
