“I came to Hyderabad with skills in my hands, lessons from my father, and the hope of building something honest. Today, Ashoka Timetronics stands as a trusted service centre for Canon, Casio, Yamaha, and more—but my journey began in a small village called Korutla in Telangana.
Back then, education was a luxury. Our village had no proper facilities, and life itself became the best teacher. My father ran a small cycle repair shop. I joined him at a young age, and together, we built 15–20 cycles a day—no formal training, just learning by doing. I was the eldest of eight siblings, and responsibility came early.
I moved to Bombay to learn motorcycle mechanics. I slept on footpaths, travelled long distances to work, and learned endurance. But when health issues made it tough to continue, I switched to watch repair. That eventually led me to camera repair, which I learned by watching, practicing, and learning as I went.
In 1983, I moved to Hyderabad and in 1989, I established Ashoka Timetronics. We didn’t start big, but we built a reputation for honest, precise work. Over time, we became one of Canon’s first authorised service franchises.

One of the proudest moments came after we repaired 100 cameras in a single day. Canon invited us to an event in Delhi, where their VP called me on stage. Then, Sachin Tendulkar, who was present, hugged me. That moment, along with the recognition, is something I’ll never forget.
Today, we employ over 30 people—many who didn’t have access to higher education, like me, but they have skill, dedication, and honesty. My wife has been a pillar of support through all of this, always encouraging me to push forward at every phase of my career. My sons have grown too—one runs the business with me, and the other trains professionals across the world.
Along the way, we’ve gained thousands of well-wishers across the country who have supported and believed in our honest work.
Hyderabad gave us the space to build with dignity. We didn’t come with elaborate plans. We just kept moving, adapting, and staying true to our values. And this city moved with us.”
