“For me, World Down Syndrome Day is not only about awareness, but about celebrating abilities. My son Anant, who was born with Down Syndrome, has taught our family that every child has their own pace, their own strengths, and their own way of shining.
Over the years, we have learned to celebrate every small milestone. What may seem like a small step for others becomes a big achievement for us, and these moments have made our journey stronger and more meaningful. Anant has a joyful personality, a loving heart, and a natural ability to connect with people. Wherever he goes, he spreads happiness.

Recently, Anant has shown great interest in art and creativity. His paintings were displayed at the Mazda Art event, in association with DSFI (Down Syndrome Federation of India) and Tickle Your Art. Seeing his artwork displayed on such a platform was a proud moment for our family.
He also participated in the Indradhanush Art Exhibition in Delhi, organized by DSFI and Art & Dreams, where 44 children with special abilities got the opportunity to showcase their talent and confidence.

Another memorable experience was his participation in The Kaleido Carnival by The Good Talk Factory, where he enjoyed interacting with people, taking part in activities, and expressing himself freely. These events give children like Anant the confidence to explore their abilities and show the world what they are capable of.
As a mother, my journey with Anant has changed the way I see life. His needs inspired me to create healthier and safer food options, which later became my venture, Ghar Ki Bakery. What started for my son slowly became a mission to make sure no child feels left out of celebrations because of dietary restrictions or special needs.

On this World Down Syndrome Day, I want to share a message for society —
Children with Down Syndrome do not need sympathy, they need acceptance. Give them opportunities, be patient with them, and you will see how capable they truly are.
Every child grows at a different pace, but with love, support, and encouragement, they can achieve more than we expect. When society accepts them with an open heart, they gain the confidence to shine in their own unique way.
Anant continues to inspire us every day, and his journey reminds us that differences do not limit a child — they make their story unique.”
