“I feel like I have the best job in the world, cooking for people. I love cooking and teaching people how to spread love through food.
When I was a kid, I used to help my mother in the kitchen. She would always make the best Hyderabadi dishes. Watching her cook made me want to try out different recipes. It’s a way to show your family how much you love them! It’s like therapy, a relaxation to the soul. I created my page, Hyderabadi Delicacies, as it reflects my passion. I want to leave a legacy for the generations to come so they learn and pass on these rich recipes.
During these testing times, I’ve expanded my love for feeding others by joining hands with NGOs in Hyderabad to help the needy. I’ve also started a charitable trust named QUL Training Centre to encourage women to be independent. I personally teach them Arabic, cooking various cuisines, stitching, art & crafts, henna, vocational training among many others.
I believe that we make a living from what we get, but we make a life with what we give. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. I want to send out a message to everyone, especially to some of the Muslim women who are daunted to be a part of these kinds of movements.
Change will not come if we wait for it to come to us. Let’s all of us join hands and help those who are in need because there is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others!”
