“Honestly, I never really thought that I would become an author in life but the situations around me motivated me to be one. I always loved to observe people, and my stories often revolve around every little thing around me.
I come from a humble background from Tandur in Vikarabad District and we moved to Hyderabad at the age of 14 after the passing of my father due to cancer. When I shifted to Hyderabad, my perspective towards life changed completely. I was new to the city, with no friends. I was quite young to understand how to express my feelings and felt lost. My brother understood my situation and got me an electronic tablet so I had some form of motivation and entertainment. That was the foundation for my writing journey. It began with simple reading on Wattpad, then blogging, and then attempting to write my own poetry and stories. It can be quite daunting, putting your feelings out for the world to see, but it began to heal me. I no longer craved an escape, I was creating my own. I in fact published my first solo book ‘Sensation of a Soul’ at the age of 17. My second book, ‘The Mystic Soul’ which was released in October 2017 has even topped the Amazon Bestseller List. My journey in the writing field continued and I even ventured into the E-commerce field through my venture JP Enterprise. To date, I have authored 7 books. My latest book which got released recently was Taekwondo- The Olympic Sport and very soon, I am also going to release my 8th book “The Awakening.” In the next year, I will also be working on a Novel and also, planning to organize various events through the JP Foundation for the welfare of society.
Talking about my latest book, Taekwondo – The Olympic Sport, this is the first book in the world that was ever written by a female author on a deadly yet sophisticated sport ‘Taekwondo’.
I am inspired by the philosophy of this sport which is focused on: Respect, Courtesy, Loyalty, Humility, Courage, Patience, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control, an Indomitable Spirit and a sense of responsibility to help and respect all forms of life; which has driven me to pen down about this sport in a classical format without missing an opportunity to impress a modern reader.
As I was researching and interviewing some amazing folks involved in this sport, I realized Taekwondo is beyond a sport in itself and more of a representation of the way of life. To me, kicks and punches resemble a great form of ‘Art’ than a mere combat technique; they are as subtle as a piece of paintwork that requires an enormous amount of dedication and effort to get it right. This book illustrates some of the amazing techniques from ‘Taekwondo’ that is focused on providing self-defense guidance for young girls and women or to anyone keen on this subject.
I thank Mr. Deepak Patel, a well-known Taekwondo Athlete and 4 times ‘Guinness World Record’ holder. I would also like to thank Perennial Academy (Martial Arts School) for giving me an opportunity to get closer to this form of art and allowing me to translate this ‘Art’ form to the world.
Taekwondo – The Olympic Sport is dedicated to all those unsung heroes in the sport of ‘Taekwondo’ who practiced this ‘Art’ with passion and have been religiously practicing and training young athletes. It’s also dedicated to those who believe in fitness as a whole.”
