“After finishing my diploma, I immediately joined Btech and I can honestly say that I didn’t give it any thought—just carried on as any other regular person would. But I’ve always pictured myself with a camera, taking some nice shots. After a year of college, I realized that this was not the place I wanted to be and that there was no future here.
So, I dropped out, and believe me when I say that it was not easy. After numerous justifications and arguments with my family, I was able to stand my ground and always adhere to the notion of “trusting the process”. Back then I was more observant about wedding photographs; such as the beautiful moments, fresh starts, and documenting all of that. Thereafter, I applied for Diploma in photography- at Delhi and completed it with a lot more passion and interest. After the course, when everyone was looking for work, I missed my family so much that I decided to stay close to them, where traveling would be much simpler because they lived in Andhra Pradesh.
So, I shifted to Hyderabad and started looking for jobs, I did everything I can and attended so many interviews, there were times when I put all my effort, but in the end, discovered it was a fraud. At this point, I was done with everything and I doubted myself and felt stuck in life. What I build step by step seemed to fall all at once. Eventually, I got referred to a company that creates documentary-based weddings. It’s been 3 years and I learned so much, having fun creating new shots, etc.
My line of work never has a dull moment, and I have never regretted having chosen it as my job. What you need at the end of the day is to enjoy what you do and be happy doing it.”
