“I didn’t even realise that today is International Day of Translation until afternoon. Well, my foray into translation happened just like it happened with content writing—by random chance and good fortune.
My boss said that our organisation has to translate 100 case studies as part of a writing project and that he wanted me to do it. As a person with an intermediate-level grip on Telugu, I was a bit apprehensive at first but decided that it is quite a challenge as well as a great opportunity. So, I took each of my translation assignments like a school project; it was quite novel and exciting as I haven’t been to a school after class 6 because of accessibility issues (Locomotor Disability).
I would like to thank my mentor and life coach Mr Venkat Kolagari for encouraging me to learn. I would also like to thank Ms Bharathi Kode who has been another teacher for me. It’s a different matter that I consider myself moderate at translations. But hey! I am learning a new word each day and that’s what makes me and my parents happy!
Happy Learning Day to all!”
