“My family has been into handloom weaving for centuries, so it was almost natural for me to take this up too. It’s an ancestral practice, but that’s not the reason why I chose it. I absolutely enjoy the process and that’s what motivates me to take this tradition forward.

Today, I am able to provide work to several people in our weavers colony and it’s a great space to be in. The best part about this job for all of us is each other’s company. We spend almost 8-9 hours together every day, weaving the handloom sarees with different patterns and designs.

I have a wonderful family and friends who are happy with whatever I have to offer to them.

A small, happy family and a set of fun friends to work with as a team will ensure you’re sorted for life. That certainly gives me to overcome any difficulty and live through all dark phases with them by your side.”
