“My son is just 1 year old and it has been 6 months since I visited my home town. I miss him very much and video calling is the only option to see him whenever I remember him. I come from a small farmers family from Jalore which is a small town in the state of Rajasthan. There were not enough employment opportunities there so I had to migrate to Hyderabad in search of livelihood. It has been 17 years since I moved to Hyderabad and the City was still in the development phase back then. I remember there was much less traffic on the roads and very few people used to visit my tea stall. My customers are very much fond of the tea because I use the Rajasthani style of tea making which is unique in its own manner. I visit my family whenever I get time from my business and it is mostly two times a year. My mother is becoming old and she is still supporting the family by working in the fields. My wife also supports my mother and she is into organic farming. It has been a few years that I started using smartphone and now it feels better because you can see them through video calling. I would like to say that life has given me a variety of experiences as I started working at a very early age doing all sorts of odd jobs. I found courage and hope when I started my own tea stall in Hyderabad. I really like this place and the people here. My dream is to build a house of my own in this city and provide proper education to my son so that he can lead a good life.”
