“My forefathers were originally from Pakistan before Partition, and after the separation, my family moved to Raipur. Eventually, my father migrated to Hyderabad, where I was born and raised. I have two siblings—an elder sister and a younger sister. I was only three years old when my father passed away. He was in the liquor trade until 1992, and after his passing, my mother took over and started a clothing business to support us.

Life was tough. My father passed away due to jaundice, leaving us all very young. My mother worked incredibly hard to keep things going, raising us while managing the business. I had always been passionate about traveling, but because of our family’s situation, I had to put my dreams on hold. At the age of 12, I left school to help my mother manage the business.

But that spark for travel never left me. When I turned 21, I started my Travel business, RS Tours & Travels, driven purely by passion. My first trip outside Telangana was to Delhi when I was just 16, and since then, with God’s blessings, I have traveled across Asia. To this day, I have visited 16 countries, and traveling the world with my family is still on my bucket list, both for personal pleasure and for expanding my business.

Of all the places I’ve visited, Singapore and Bali stand out. What moved me most was seeing Indian traditions, like Ganapati celebrations, being honored in those faraway lands. It made me feel a deep connection to my roots, seeing our culture thriving abroad. Even the local currency, in places like Bali, reflects Hindu influences. Ganapati Bappa felt close, even in such distant lands, and I couldn’t help but feel happy witnessing these shared traditions.

For the past 18 years, I have been dedicated to my travel business. I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my mother and family. My wife has been my pillar of strength, standing beside me through thick and thin, along with my mother and other family members. I married young, at the age of 21, and my family’s love and support have been the reason behind my success, even when life threw challenges my way.

Being a proud Sardar, I strongly believe in unity in diversity. We celebrate all festivals with love and devotion. Ganesh Chaturthi holds a special place in our hearts. Ganapati Bappa has been with us through all our ups and downs. Every year, we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in our office with a new, unique theme. Last year, we honored the Chandrayaan-3 mission, and this year, our theme is ‘Travel the World.’

Ganapati’s blessings, my family’s constant encouragement, and my children’s motivation keep me moving forward. I have always believed that life is a journey without windows—travel, explore, and live with peace and harmony. That is my philosophy.”
