I’m Ranjith, a cyclist from Warangal, Telangana. What began as a way to honor my father’s dream of traveling the world after his passing in 2020 has become my life’s mission. Since then, I’ve cycled over 41,400 kilometers across India and 13 countries, learning about human connections, and the simple joys of life with every ride.
My journey began on Indian roads, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. I cycled through Rajasthan’s deserts, Kerala’s backwaters, and the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
But the most unforgettable rides in India were my trips to Ladakh and the China border with my dear Bhageera, my pet dog. These rides were incredibly challenging, but reaching some of the highest points in the country made it all worthwhile.
As my confidence grew, I began exploring other countries. My first overseas ride was in Vietnam. I cycled through endless rice fields and small villages where locals greeted me with warmth. After Vietnam, I went to Cambodia, which, despite its history, is filled with strong, inspiring people. Then I rode through Thailand, enjoying the mix of bustling markets and peaceful temples.
After Thailand, I cycled through Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Each country brought its own unique experiences, from the beauty of Malaysia’s mountains to the lively streets of Tokyo. I especially appreciated the kindness of people I met along the way. Mongolia offered a vast, open landscape that tested my endurance, and after Mongolia, I made my way to Australia. Cycling along the Great Ocean Road was one of my most unforgettable experiences, with crashing waves on one side and endless horizons on the other.
Cycling isn’t just something I enjoy—it’s also my way of promoting sustainability and a healthier lifestyle. Through my YouTube channel, Ranjith on Wheels, I share my journey to encourage others to explore the world on two wheels. The road has taught me countless lessons, pushed me in ways I never expected, and left me with memories I’ll cherish for a lifetime.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve faced bad weather, bike breakdowns, and moments of doubt. But every time I get back on the bike, I feel closer to fulfilling my father’s dream. My next stop? I don’t know, whereever the road takes me. Every ride brings me closer to discovering the world and myself.”
