“Please let the world know that kind people still exist.
I was all set for my trip to Goa along with my aunt. We booked a sleeper class ticket in Ypr – Vasco Express. My compartment was S5 with reserved seats 15, 16. I reached the SMM station on time and boarded the coach. The train started. I am supposed to pick up my aunt who will be boarding the train at the next station. I kept my luggage bag and my second phone on the train and got down to help her board the train as the platform was jam-packed. Unfortunately, the train started moving before we could board back.
Not only did I miss the train but also lost the valuables. It was our mistake but it was unintentional. Heartbroken, I went to the help desk and lodged a complaint. We then went to the bus stand to reach Goa immediately by bus. The next morning, somehow, we reached Goa Railway station by Bus. I went to the HTC office in Goa railway station looking for our leftover bag. I explained the situation to the railway staff who responded immediately.
I got to know that the working TTE of Vasco Express, Mr. Vijay Kumar, immediately noticed my bag and mobile while he was on duty and kept my bag and mobile phone with the support staff safely. After I reached the station, the TTE, Mr. Vijay, verified my I’d card and handed over my cell phone and Bag. I just want to share that kindness can happen when we least expect it. When it happens, we should embrace it and pay it forward.”
