Sudhakar Yadav, the visionary behind Sudha Cars Museum, has ingeniously crafted a mobile van featuring an almost perfect replica of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on top.
“My passion for automobiles traces back to my upbringing, fueled by unwavering support from my businessman father. At the age of 14, I started experimenting with bicycle parts, progressing with his encouragement to create not only simple motorbikes but also a distinctive Dune Buggy.
Inspired by a Volkswagen ad in the US, I ventured into crafting portable cars resembling everyday items – from a brinjal to a toilet seat and even a condom for AIDS awareness. On Women’s Day, I designed a car shaped like a handbag and stiletto, while on Bal Diwas, cars inspired by a pen, pencil, and sharpener rolled out. World AIDS Day saw a vehicle shaped like a condom, reflecting my commitment to awareness.
Now, let me share the story of my latest masterpiece – a mobile replica of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
This two-year endeavor, undertaken with my dedicated team, aims to bring the divine ‘darshan’ to people’s doorsteps. Planned since the ‘bhoomipujan’ ceremony in 2020, the project involved 21 team members, including 10 Muslim workers, ensuring meticulous craftsmanship to capture every small detail of the real temple. From January 19 to February 15, the replica will be showcased at Exhibition Grounds before being taken in procession on a journey to various villages.
While my formal training in automobiles may be lacking, my keen observations and hands-on learning, often involving repurposing materials from disused sources, have been my guides. It’s not about being an automobile engineer; it’s about relentless dedication to a passion that started with a humble bicycle.”
