“I am slightly disappointed that business is rather slow today; it’s usually at its peak during the evenings. Most of my customers are office goers who stop at my stall to munch the freshly boiled chana and Moong dal along with the masala.
I have been selling boiled moong beans and chana for more than 30 years here near Kachiguda station road. It is very nutritious and tasty and one could have it at any time.
When I came to this spot in the early 90s, the traffic was very less and most of my customers used to be daily wagers. But now, things have changed drastically with times and I am glad that I could serve customers of all ages.
Am I making any profit these days? Well, the big food chains and fast food centres do impact my business, however, I am thankful to my customers who come back to me for fresh food and I am able to make enough to keep my family running!”
