“To be successful in any field, one should be honest with their approach and that’s what I believed when I moved to Hyderabad to earn a living.
Coming from a small village called Marrigudem in Nalgonda district at the age of 17, it wasn’t easy to settle in a big city like Hyderabad.
I felt the world was moving very fast and everything was dizzy when I first entered the city without any contact. Increasing debts drove me to take up a job at a young age, but I must be thankful to the people here, who welcomed and sheltered me.
I had worked as a cycle rickshaw puller for a few years under a person before shifting to the auto-rickshaw. Gradually, after five years of hard work, I was able to buy my auto-rickshaw and serve the public for more than 38 years.
I have two children. Both of them are currently working in private organizations. There were many instances where passengers had forgotten valuables in my auto but I have always returned their valuables by submitting them to the police or the customers directly.
As mentioned earlier, my motive is to be honest and sincere with my work. That’s what helped me to earn respect and livelihood. I am grateful for everyone who has helped me in life and I will continue to work hard in my life until my body supports me.”
