“I never went to school. With no education, I hardly had the sense of time. My parents were farmers. In my early teens, I used to help them at work. This was back in the early 80s.
But when I grew a little older, I moved to Hyderabad from our hometown.
It was all new and different. Hyderabad was less crowded back then, of course, but compared to my hometown, it was a lot.
I worked as a daily wager for a year at a company. Soon, I started riding a rickshaw by renting an auto. In the night, I would park it by the roadside and sleep in it. It was a struggle.took small steps to save money, get a small house, expand my business by buying my own auto.
Life didn’t change overnight. It was a gradual process of hardwork and belief. Today, there are more opportunities for people who comes from to Hyderabad from smaller districts. So I help people within my capacity who come here for a living. I share meals, guide them to buy an auto or whatever little help they need.
I believe that love and good health is all we need to survive. Money will come and go. If we can’t help each other, how are we going to live together in a society?”
