“Stay dedicated, be persistent, remain positive, and dream big. Hard work definitely pays off. I was raised in a middle-class family in a small village in the east Godavari district where I attended school occasionally and finished my 10th grade, and mostly I helped my parents with their agriculture work.
Later, in 1979, I moved to Hyderabad to stay with a relative, and after a while, I was able to secure an employment and establish a base for myself. I learned about the constable recruitment process, and I gave it my best. I was chosen, and I finished my training at the PRS-Police Training School in Vijayanagaram in 1983. My first post was at Kushaiguda and got transferred to several police stations and was promoted to Head Constable. Five years later, I was promoted to ASI and SI at Petbasheerabad.
I had received an award too for apprehending a robber in Shamirpet who is connected to 35–40 robberies in other areas. After 37 years of service, I retired in 2018 but I continued as an SPO-Special police officer and currently, I am at home taking rest and enjoying my retirement with my grandkids.
To all the young aspirants out there, have faith and courage in yourself and be true at what you do, success will come your way.
I will always value the time I put in and be grateful that I had the chance to do so much for my country.”
