”My day starts as early as 4 am. I cook for my children and go to my farm in the interiors of Ranga Reddy district to pluck fruits. My son then drops me at the bus stand. I carry huge bags of fruits and vegetables and come to the city, reach the market and set up my stall. I’ve been doing this for many years now. I have lost count of how many years I have been following this routine. This is the only way I know to live life. I wasn’t sent to school but I do have basic knowledge of math that helps me calculate my finances. My children are educated, but the society is such that it doesn’t allow people from our class and our background to prosper. Although I wasn’t taught anything from textbooks, I
learnt one thing in life from my experiences – your life and happiness
is in your control. No matter what you have or don’t have, make sure you go to sleep without any regret or guilt.”
