Would you like to taste our Masala Puri? I have a special topping for it. Or perhaps you would like Dahi puri? I can also serve you freshly prepared samosa/ cutlet ragada. How about our bestseller ‘Pani Puri special’ or the old favorite, Bhel Puri?
You know, I have been running this chaat business here at Paradise Fire station Busstop for more than 26 years. My customers are people from all walks of life, mostly families and college-goers who come for a fun evening snacking.
I also have many loyal customers who drive up in their cars just to have our Pani Puri in the late evenings.
I hail from the village called Bijaipur in Rajasthan. It is the most beautiful place in the world for me. But I left my village and came to Hyderabad when I was 18. I came with my cousin who used to run a sweet shop. Money was not on my mind then. I just wanted to be with him. When he told me I could do good business by selling panipuris here, I immediately agreed and took a chance. Fortunately, there was no looking back since then.
I must say my wife is also the biggest support in my journey so far. She is an all-rounder and during peak hours, she sometimes comes to help me apart from handling household chores. From raising our children to handling household chores, from managing monthly expenses to handling business — we divide everything equally. Today, my older daughter is well settled and is working in a private school as a teacher. And my younger daughter and son are still studying – one in class 12 and the other pursuing graduation. I want them to study well and get steady jobs. I am only taking all this trouble so that they can have a better life in the future!
