“Growing up in a modest household in Telangana, I learned the power of resilience and women’s empowerment from my parents. My mother, a pillar of strength, taught me to never back down from challenges. But it wasn’t just my mother who inspired me. My hardworking father showed me the true meaning of dedication and sacrifice while running a small tea stall.
Under the guidance of my coach, Nagapuri Ramesh sir, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and passion through athletics.
In 2021, I secured silver at the National Athletics Championships. But it was at the 2022 Asian Games where I faced my greatest challenge – the heptathlon. On September 30th, amidst cheers and support, I clinched bronze. It was a journey of empowerment, breaking barriers, and defying expectations.
In a world where women are often underestimated, sports became my platform to defy expectations and showcase the strength and resilience of women everywhere. Each training session, each competition, was not just about chasing medals, but about proving that women belong in every arena, excelling and inspiring others along the way.
This victory isn’t just mine—it’s for every woman who’s been told she’s not enough.” ??
