“My job allows me to interact with artisans from across the country. They work hard to make different items and we give them a platform to sell it in different cities of India like Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. When I first joined the organization, I was only searching for a job and didn’t think much about it. But travelling to different cities and meeting people who tell us how they love handicrafts, gives me immense joy. The response has been great, even in Hyderabad. The only problem, I think, is that people from all the cities need to understand the history of these artisans and appreciate their work even more. These days, there are many so called handicraft stores, but are they really authentic? That’s something every customer needs to check to make sure the artisans are not in loss.”
