“During my intermediate, I asked my dad for a scooter. He offered to buy me a bike, but I didn’t listen to him. He bought one for himself and started to go on trips with my younger brother. They would do day-long trips or sometimes, even longer, which started to make me jealous. They also started a YouTube channel. They would record cool videos and I would sit and edit them. But that’s not what I wanted. I wanted to be in those videos too! So I accompanied them on a trip to Srisailam. Throughout, I wasn’t allowed to ride because of the hilly terrain. On our way back, I insisted I get one chance. And Oh boy, what an experience it was!
Once we were back, I asked my dad to buy me a bike. I waited for the latest version of Royal Enfield Himalayan for more than a month after the booking. I remember counting each day until it came. I made several calls to different branches and somehow got my hands on the first available one. Meanwhile, my dad suggested I start motor vlogging. He ordered a GoPro for me and I was all set to start a new journey. I remember when I was getting ready for my first trip from Hyderabad to Goa – everybody around me was worried. It was only my dad who was confident and even accompanied me on that trip. We went with a group and it was such a smooth ride! Since then, I’ve done many trips across the country and also participated in India Bike Week. Each time, I meet new people in small villages and it has changed my perspective in so many ways. People have fed us with good food, helped us with shelter during rains and also checked with us constantly till we found our way and reached Hyderabad. The thought that people in villages are dangerous is wrong. I also chose the subject of touring and travel in my graduation and I get to research and write more about my experiences in assignments. Fortunately, my husband too is a travel enthusiast. We just tied the knot and we’re already planning our first trip. This is my kind of perfect holiday.”
