“If destiny springs a bad surprise, I try to overcome it with my hard work. So when farming in my village became an uphill task, I decided to shift to Hyderabad. Soon, my profession changed from growing food to selling food. It has been 12 years now since I became a ‘tiffinwala’ and I offer hot and steaming idlis for the morning crowd.

My hectic routine begins at 1 a.m. in the morning. I help my wife cook all the stuff, pack it and bring on my bicycle. Quite a few people come regularly to me and I manage to sell most of it in time. I earn a steady income and it helps me to keep our family stay afloat. But, I need to keep the cycle running without any holidays or breaks, to ensure our survival.

I was not educated so I had limited options everywhere I went. So, I made sure that all my three kids completed their graduation. I hope this will help them not just to overcome, but also make their own destiny.”
