“My journey into classical dance began at an early age, learning Andhra Natyam guided by Guru Afzal Pasha. His encouragement led me to Perini Natyam, completing the training under Guru Kala Krishnan and Kumar in Warangal. Recognizing my passion, Guru Nataraj Ramakrishnan invited me to his dance wing, refining my skills in Perini Natyam.
I earned my Diploma in Dance from Telugu University, Hyderabad, specializing in Andhra Natyam and Perini Natyam. Post-graduation, I showcased Perini Natyam in various Indian cities, receiving the Jaya-Vihayadu award from Guru Nataraj Ramakrishnan. Despite an offer to teach Fusion dance in Malaysia, I returned to India, dedicating myself to Perini Natyam.
Embarking on the ‘101 Day Nonstop’ project, I performed over 200 shows in Telangana, spanning 31 districts, promoting Perini Natyam in schools and colleges. Subsequently, I initiated teaching, organizing summer camps, and workshops, earning the Savitribai Phule award in 2018 and the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Perini Natyam.
Recently, I had the honor of performing Perini Natyam at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts Center, Los Angeles – California, Sri Shiva Kameshwari Temple – Irvine, California and also at Orlando, Florida, adding an international chapter to my journey.
This experience, along with my recent performance at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ramappa Temple, on World Heritage Day, garnered appreciation from PM Narendra Modi. My mission is to globalize Telangana’s rich art and culture through Perini Natyam, transcending borders.”
