“We’ve been participating in Dragon Boat Racing for a couple of years now. I’m Vamsi, from Jangareddygudem in Eluru district, and along with my friends Kumar Swamy and Santosh.

This sport started in Kerala but it’s slowly catching on in other parts of India, thanks to the Dragon Boat Federation. Last year, we had the chance to represent the nationals in Delhi, and we even won a bronze medal.

This Sankranti, we’re taking part in the dragon boat race at Atreyapuram. It’s the second time it’s happening here, and it’s great to see the sport becoming part of the Sankranti festival. In the future, we have big dreams of achieving something significant in sports, and we hope to see dragon boat racing become a popular sport in India.”
