“Childhood memories have a way of shaping our lives in profound ways. For me, they’re a mix of joy and sorrow, with the loss of my father at eleven leaving a deep void. Yet, it was my mother who became my guiding light, instilling in me the belief that education was the key to overcoming life’s obstacles.
Inspired by her wisdom, I vowed to share her teachings with others. Throughout my career spanning various sectors, I explored different paths across countries, seeking fulfillment and purpose. However, amidst the diversity of experiences, it was the act of volunteering and teaching that brought me the utmost satisfaction.
Driven by compassion and purpose, I dedicated myself to serving the underprivileged, following in my mother’s footsteps by teaching with Teach for Change—an organization committed to providing English education in government schools. I was also selected for Teach for India, furthering my commitment to education.
My goal? To equip these young learners with the confidence and communication skills essential for a successful career. The rewards were abundant. From witnessing my students excel in talent showcases to seeing tangible outcomes, each success affirmed the significance of our work.
Undoubtedly, the journey posed challenges, with some government teachers resistant to external volunteers. Yet, overcoming obstacles, I persisted, and the recognition as the Best Volunteer of the Year twice in my 5-year journey affirmed the value of my work.
Beyond accolades, my true motivation stems from contributing to a brighter future for these children. I’m immensely grateful for organizations like Teach for Change, leading the charge in community empowerment. In addition to my teaching endeavors, I actively contribute to the Hyderabad Blood Donor Associations, furthering my commitment to community service.
Looking ahead, my dedication to education remains unwavering. I believe in a future where every child has equal access to quality education and the resources needed for success.
As I continue on this journey, my passion for volunteering and teaching only grows stronger, fueled by the transformative impact it has on the lives of others.”
