“I’m Saloni, a travel enthusiast. While I’ve been working in IT for the past three years, my passion for exploring new places started much earlier, back in my BTech days.
During college, I noticed how most people preferred visiting cafés every weekend. A new café would open, and everyone would rush to check it out, take pictures, and share their experiences. Of course, that’s their preference, but it made me think about how things used to be. Growing up, temple visits were a big part of our lives-whether for worship, meaningful conversations, or just peaceful family time. Even if a temple was 100 or 200 km away, we wouldn’t hesitate to travel. But over time, that practice became rare. People now prefer staying within the city, visiting cafés, bars, and pubs instead.

After finishing my BTech in Information Technology at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering in Hyderabad, I continued exploring places whenever I had time. But my official travel channel started after I began working. The routine of weekdays made weekends feel empty, and I didn’t want to just sit at home. That’s when I decided to turn my passion into something more—bringing back the habit of temple visits over cafés.

For the past two years, I’ve been showcasing temples, historical places, staycations and unique destinations across different states-Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. I’ve explored places like Varanasi, Jaipur, Hampi, Madurai, and Varkala, sharing not just locations but also the stories behind their architecture and significance. South Indian temples, especially, have a certain energy-each one with a story that adds to its aura. The responses from people have been encouraging. Of course, not every post gets the same reach, but that’s part of the process-I just keep going.

I mostly travel on weekends, balancing my IT job on weekdays. My first solo trip was to Hampi, and from then on, I’ve continued to explore different states. Whether solo, with colleagues, or with family, every trip has been memorable.
I create my content using minimal tools-just my iPhone and some editing apps, but the impact has been great. I upload my videos in the morning, maintaining consistency. I plan my trips meticulously, ensuring everything is organised. In the future, I aim to explore international destinations and help new creators grow.

For me, travel isn’t just about visiting places-it’s about experiencing them. I believe women should take charge of their own journeys – travel, explore, and break barriers. Whether solo or in a group, the key is to stay informed and confident. If you’re a solo traveller, just start. You don’t have to wait for the perfect plan or the perfect company. Travel at your own pace, stay aware, and embrace the journey. The best experiences often come from places you never expected.”
