“Baking has always been something I’ve loved, ever since I was a kid. I’d try out recipes and it was almost like magic seeing how basic ingredients could turn into something so delicious. Back then, it wasn’t anything serious-just a way to spend my free time. But when the pandemic hit, and life slowed down, baking became more than just a hobby. It gave me something to focus on and a bit of comfort. That’s when I really started to take it seriously.
Starting a baking business in Hyderabad wasn’t something I had planned—it just sort of happened. Hyderabad is full of food lovers, which makes it exciting but also tough because of all the competition. Over time, I’ve learned that the most important thing is to stick to what I love and make sure the quality is always there. The best part is seeing people trust in my work for their special occasions; whether it’s birthdays, weddings, or festivals. That’s what makes all the hard work worth it.
I didn’t come from a professional baking background. I actually did my MBA, and my formal education was in business. Most of what I know has come from trial and error—experimenting, making mistakes, and trying again. I’ve taken a few courses to learn new things, but at the end of the day, it’s all about practice and persistence.
The festive season, especially Christmas and New Year, is the busiest and I enjoy it the most. I’ve got people who come back year after year, telling me how my cakes have become part of their traditions. Those moments are the ones that mean the most to me. I also love making custom cakes that reflect my customers’ stories and celebrations. My family has been my biggest support through all of this—they’re always there with encouragement, honest feedback, and even helping me taste-test new ideas!
As we step into the new year, my message to everyone would be to enjoy the little moments, spend time with the people who matter, and don’t forget to treat yourself—whether it’s with a slice of cake or just some time to relax. Cheers to a brighter, more meaningful 2025!”
