“I am a Dentist turned Hatha yoga teacher. The turning point in my life came when I realized that medicine alone couldn’t fully address the importance of self-healing. This realization led me to Yoga, a vast realm that goes beyond the confines of a dental clinic. As someone who has practiced yoga since childhood, I naturally gravitated towards spreading positivity through healthy living and mindfulness.
The transition from dentistry to yoga was prompted by my disappointment with the profit-driven nature of private dental clinics. I felt compelled to pursue a path aligned with my compassion for the human body and nature. Thus, I embarked on a journey to teach yoga full-time, starting with families in my community and eventually expanding my reach across India and beyond.
For me, yoga isn’t just about physical fitness; it’s a holistic approach to living life to its fullest, embracing vitality and abundance. As a nature enthusiast, I am committed to promoting a minimalistic lifestyle and contributing to society’s well-being through yoga.
I believe that good health—physical, emotional, and mental—is our most valuable possession. It’s a treasure we must cherish and share with others. Through yoga, I aim to make a positive impact on as many lives as possible before my time on this planet ends.
Yoga teaches us essential lessons in humanity—respecting others, understanding our needs, and responsibly using and preserving our resources for future generations.
Recently, I was honored to receive the Maharishi Gherand Yoga Samman Award from the Indian Yoga Therapist Association and the Sanathana Reflection Award from the Reflection YouTube channel. These awards are a testament to the dedication and passion I bring to my practice and teaching of yoga.
On this International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate the wonderful women who bring so much love and strength to our world. As we go through life, let’s remember that our power comes not just from helping others, but also from taking care of ourselves.
Think about the amazing women who have influenced you, who’ve shown you what it means to be strong and caring. They’re like guiding lights, showing us how to face challenges with courage and determination.
As a yoga teacher, I encourage you to tap into your own inner strength, to find that spark inside you and let it guide you forward. Just like yoga poses help us build physical strength, facing life’s challenges helps us grow stronger inside.
Let’s not be held back by what others think we should be. Instead, let’s break free and embrace who we truly are. When we value ourselves, we inspire others to do the same, creating a positive chain reaction of self-belief and empowerment.
Today, and every day, remember that you are capable of amazing things. You are strong, you are beautiful, and you are worthy of love and respect. Happy International Women’s Day! ?✨
