“I’m Khushi Jain, the founder of Sugar Sculpt — an eggless café patisserie in Sindhi Colony, Hyderabad. Born in 2002 in Rajasthan, I moved to Hyderabad when I was four.
I come from a business family, but baking wasn’t always part of the plan. It started during the lockdown — I was baking for fun at home, sharing it with my family and neighbours. Their feedback gave me confidence, and soon, I realised this hobby could turn into something more.
I began small, posting in WhatsApp groups and taking orders from people nearby. The love for the taste and quality of my bakes kept me going. My family stood by me through every challenge — they’ve been my biggest strength.

In 2021, I completed a diploma in Baking and Patisserie in Bangalore. In 2022, I interned at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur — one of the world’s top 10 hotels. That experience taught me discipline, detail, and consistency.
In 2023, I launched a cloud bakery. By 2024, Sugar Sculpt opened as a full-fledged café. We specialise in customised eggless cakes — they don’t just match what the customer asks for, they often turn out even better.

The journey came with hurdles. I suffered a serious kitchen accident — boiling water spilled on my legs. It was a tough phase, but it only pushed me to return stronger. Building a reliable team was also a challenge, but over time, I found people who truly believed in the vision.
We never compromise on quality — no palm oil, no compound chocolate. We use real couverture chocolate that costs ₹1600/kg, because our customers deserve nothing less.
We’re also the first in Hyderabad to offer Jain-friendly café options in burgers, fries, momos — and sugar-free cakes made with natural ingredients like dates (no stevia or artificial sweeteners).
Some days are slow, and some are hectic — but every cake that leaves our kitchen reminds me why I started.
To anyone starting young: learn from the ground up. Work in kitchens, understand the process, manage people, handle operations. Recipes matter, but building a brand takes more than that. So just begin!”
