“I discovered my passion for singing when I was in high school. I used to come up with my own tunes and learn the songs out of my interest. After I finished my junior college, I went on to do Engineering and that’s when I strongly believed to venture into the field of music. I joined a music college when I was 17 while also doing my engineering course simultaneously. That was the craziest decision ever but I thoroughly enjoyed that phase of my life. During college, I took part in regional TV show competitions where people started to appreciate my singing. I began getting opportunities through some of the Telugu film industry filmmakers who had watched these shows on TV. Director Chandu noticed my talent and introduced me to music director Mickey J. Meyer. I went on to sing for the film Notebook and that’s how my journey started as a singer in movies. Later, after completing my engineering, I focused on music full-time and even won the Indian Idol title in 2010. That was the biggest turning point in my career. After that, I have gotten opportunities to work in Bollywood in several blockbuster movies as a singer and there has been no looking back ever since. I embraced the opportunities I got and went on to sing for several chart-topping songs across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages working with some amazing people in the Indian Film industry.
In 2013, I made my debut as an actor in the mythological film Jagadguru Adi Shankara. After that, I played the lead role in the film Prema Geema Jaantha Nai in 2014. Later, I continued my journey as a singer, performer, and actor for movies across four languages. I even played a negative character in MMOF which was released in 2021. Later, I took part in several reality shows such as Bigboss 5, Telugu Indian Idol, and Nenu Super Women as a Host with Aha which was certainly a unique experience for me.
And now, I am making my debut in the web series titled Papam Pasivadu which is an original series produced by The Weekend Show. The series is all set to launch on 29th September on Aha. Stepping into the OTT World has now expanded my horizons and I am looking forward to entertaining the audience in the web space too.”
