“Pursuing my education in nutrition was something I never planned for. But, fourteen years later now I am a nutritionist, who has changed the perspective of her clients towards their food habits. I consider myself to be lucky as my education has helped me serve my family by inculcating a healthy lifestyle in their daily routine.
I have been married for fifteen years now. My husband has always motivated me to pursue and fulfil what I wished for in life. He was the one who pushed me to complete my Master’s in Nutrition. The most challenging client that I’ve had so far is definitely going to be my in-law’s side of the family. They’ve always followed a rich diet like biryani as part of their daily meal. It was a tough task for me to bring that shift of light and healthy food as part of their diet. Apart from my family, I have also helped girls who have a problem of PCOD, by suggesting a proper diet that has helped them have a proper period cycle now. I am currently associated with Women Power Fitness Club, which is an all-women fitness centre located in the Moghalpura area in Old city. With a motive to empower women into fitness, we have been working hard relentlessly for the last five months.
A woman is the most neglected member of the family. We don’t have time to take care of our health as we do it for others. That is why it is important for us to have basic exercise and a healthy diet for a healthier life ahead!”
