“To me, health is the perfect harmony between mental strength and physical fitness. Hence, I chose this unique career path. I am a doctor by graduation and a fitness coach by profession. Initially, fitness was just my passion. It was fun. I was working as a medical officer and studying for my masters, when I participated in a large scale military based obstacle course event, which I won. Eventually, I landed a trainers certification and job in one of the biggest training centres of the city. I was supposed to go back to my further studies, but a few months into the fitness training job, I was in love with it. Few months soon turned into a few years and I continued to focus on the health and well-being of people through fitness. People with history of injuries, medical issues, pregnant women, athletes – I managed to infuse my medical knowledge everytime I did a new course and train lots of people back to health. Eventually I built my own brand, where I organize fitness and mental wellness retreats that include travel, fitness, nutrition and health together.
Given that doctors, nurses and everyone else in the medical field, including pregnant doctors are dedicatedly working round the clock, risking their lives to save other people’s lives, it’s evident how passionate they are and how they prioritize others and their families before themselves. It’s just beautiful to watch them work relentlessly for us. So through the lockdown, I tried to do my bit by sharing a two week holistic guide, absolutely free, for people to watch and follow. This helped them remain physically active and mentally fit in these trying times. I know friends from the medical profession, who are working extremely hard and it’s important that we support them all we can. The 2 week guide is actually showing results and many people felt better and more positive after doing it. After all, right now, it’s most important we stay home and stay positive!”
