“I’ve always believed that our traditions are not just meant to be remembered but actively supported. Whether it’s art, craft, or cultural heritage, we need to stand by the people who keep it alive.
One such effort is the Living Temple Art show, curated by Annapurna Madipadiga, which highlights the craftsmanship behind temple architecture in India. Living Temple is a tribute to India’s ancient temples, heritage, and culture, bringing together contemporary and traditional artists who honor this legacy through their work.

The exhibition showcases the beauty and intricacy of temple art, reminding us that these traditions are very much alive in today’s world.
At the same time, another change is happening—one that I’ve been actively working towards: promoting active mobility through the Hyderabad Cycling Revolution. Cycling isn’t just about fitness; it’s about making our cities more liveable. Along with Hyderabad, we’ve been advocating for better cycling infrastructure across Telangana. Dedicated cycle lanes, safer roads, and better use of public transport can make a huge difference in how people commute and connect with their surroundings.

A few years ago, we launched the Cycle at Every Home campaign, encouraging people to use cycles for short-distance travel. If every household had a basic cycle, it would reduce congestion, lower pollution, and improve health. Hyderabad already has one of the most sustainable cycling tracks in the world, but we need more initiatives outside the city. In towns and districts across Telangana, cycling can be a game-changer, reducing traffic and creating cleaner, healthier spaces.
The approach is simple—walk for short distances, cycle for mid-range commutes, and use public transport for longer journeys. By adopting this mindset, we can build a more sustainable and efficient transport system that works for everyone, no matter where they live. We’re also focused on making cycling more accessible. This includes providing bicycles to rural girls and offering training programs to make roads safer for everyone. With government support and community participation, Telangana can lead the way in active mobility.”
