“The 34th annual Hyderabad book fair is held between Dec.18-28 between 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. On holidays and weekends, it will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

We are happy to receive great support and a thumping response from the public so far after a year-long break due to Covid 19 situation. Earlier, in 2019, there were around 360 stalls but this year we wanted to keep the number of stalls limited to 270 to adhere to COVID-19 norms.

Well, if you go back to the history, the culture of book reading has been the first Hyderabad Book Fair was held in the year 1985 at City Central Library. Later on, the Book Fairs were held at Public Gardens, Nizam College Grounds, Exhibition Grounds, Keshav Memorial High School Ground etc.

From the last five years onwards it has been continuously running at NTR Grounds. Within a short period, the Hyderabad Book Fair has become very popular throughout India and we are glad that we are able to gain a national stature.”
