“Shush, don’t tell anyone…but I actually can’t wait to go back to school. Until March, I felt like bunking school at least once in a week and sit at home. I found going to school everyday and listening to classes monotonous. But now I realise how important school is for me.
I heard about coronavirus from my teachers in the beginning of March and within no time, they told us that they were closing the school temporarily. This was even before the lockdown and honestly, I felt excited at that time. Everyone thought it was only going to be for few days. The first one week went on well and I played a lot of video games, watched my favourite TV shows and studied a bit for my final exams. But when the lockdown was announced, I couldn’t go anywhere. Our school management told us that we were all promoted to next academic year and the school will remain closed until further notice. I was happy with that news but I really didn’t know what to do at home.
I had a lot of plans during summer holidays. I even wanted to go for cricket coaching and dance classes but all my plans have gone haywire. I feel sad seeing lots of people unwell, in trouble but I really can’t do anything about it. I am in a new class now ( Class 6), got my new set of uniform, shoes and bag also, but I don’t know where the classroom is or what it looks like….I guess, only time will tell!”
