Team HoH: Hello everyone. We have seen your students attending the conference in WE Hub. Could you tell us about your presence here?
Ratnamala: I am a teacher at CHIREC International School. We Hub has given our students an opportunity to upgrade themselves to be future entrepreneurs. Students from 7th to 9th grades have attended the conference, and currently, we can’t hold on to the completion of certain degrees or courses. We are way ahead of these. As a teacher, I can say that this is a different opportunity for us to teach and re-learn new things and explore.
Team HoH: As a teacher could you tell us your experience at We Hub and your views on women’s rights and the progress towards it?
Rachana: I am a teacher at Srinidhi International School. We Hub has been a great opportunity for all of us and the students as well. I am from an IB school, and it provides a lot of variations in subjects but as school teachers, we have our limitations. We Hub has been a realistic experience for students building up their future with expertise giving them the right direction. My opinion regarding women’s rights is that every gender should be treated equally male, female, LGBTQ and the awareness is happening but what we need is to talk and make progress with equity in workplaces too.
Team HoH: Could you tell us how We Hub is helping you and your students for a successful career?
Kritika: I am working in Keystone International School. It certainly provides an opportunity for high school students for entrepreneurship to come up with their plans and ideas. We as a country are educated and we don’t have enough opportunities in terms of employment. Preparing teenagers for the entrepreneurship world and let’s look at the talent not going out of the country, staying within is what our school is trying to do. We Hub came into the picture and our girls are enjoying what they are doing, as teachers, we are exploring what students are interested in and we can guide, help them- that’s what We Hub gave us.
Team HoH: Any message you would like to convey on the account of Women’s Day Week?
Teachers: We think even our generation is way past women’s day. All days are about all genders. It is time to think beyond this there was a time when women didn’t have enough opportunities but now women are thriving in workplaces becoming CEOs because of their pure talent as We Hub is a great example we can look up to. On the whole, we want to convey that we have to bring fairness to humanity, not genders.
