“Our inspirations in life are some of the closest people in our lives. I realized this in my teens that when I understood how my Ammamma (maternal grandmother) was a major influence in my life. She always stitched cute dresses for my birthdays when I was a child. Just watching her do it would make me so happy…I knew I would grow up to be a fashion designer. Even today, I take her inputs very seriously. I talk to her about retro styles and her techniques of making clothes to bring some vintage vibes to my collection.

More than her idea of fashion, it’s her quest to learn that inspires me the most. If not for that, she wouldn’t have fought with her in-laws back in the day to learn (tailoring?) stitching. She let passion take over to make a mark in life and showed us all the way.”
