“Today morning, I woke up to news that the toll of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in India has increased to 114, of which two have passed away and two others are from our own state.
My younger daughter is in class 10 and she would be writing her State Board exams from Thursday. As a medical store owner, I am quite concerned about her commute, even though the Government has been taking precautionary measures with regard to the COVID-19 situation in the state.
The demand for N95 masks has increased four times and there’s an acute shortage in the supply of these masks. Apart from the demand for these masks by the common man, we need to make sure their adequate availability for the doctors and nurses that are taking care of patients as well! Many customers have been returning home without the masks already, because stocks have begun to run out. My only appeal to the concerned authorities is to facilitate help in the manufacturing of these masks so that everyone can stay protected. It’s time for each and every one of us to take precautionary measures to contain the spread of this virus and it’ll only work if we all act together, responsibly!”
