I had done khethi (farming) for a some time in my hometown UP along with a few odd jobs before moving here. I felt Hyderabad was a good place to earn a decent living so that I could build a house for my family. Our Malik saab, who got settled in the city from my hometown helped me to get a job and here I am, selling Kulfis for the last 6 years in the city.

Things were going well and I was close to achieving my dreams in starting a small food court. However, things changed drastically when the covid pandemic struck the country. My kulfi business was shut for more than 7 months. Well, I did suffer major losses but I had never let my confidence go down.
Now that my wife had also started working, we both are now trying to clear our debts. I have a few good friends here in Hyderabad and we are working our ways to set things back on track.”
