”I am an HR in an IT company. I am proud to tell people that my husband is the one who taught me a lot about gender equality and feminism. I was married at 24, which is quite a young age, I think. But my husband has been quite supportive and that has helped me cope up with everything including work. I have always been a feminist and so has he. We respect that aspect of each other.

I’m fortunate to have no gender disparity at work either. But it would be a lie if I told you I haven’t faced certain things in society because I’m a woman. My biggest problem is the way people consider assertive women as arrogant. Honestly, I don’t understand how to explain to them, because it’s tiring and annoying at the same time. It makes me wonder how long it’ll take for people to not identify someone by their gender. We have one life, why can’t people live theirs and let us live ours?”
