“I am Dr. Anuhya Reddy, a native of Hyderabad. Professionally I am from the fashion background with experience of working for several Tollywood films as a stylist. I am also a financier and producer for serials in Telugu. Apart from the artistic side, I am an industrialist running Kovida Groups in USA and UAE. But my passion and personal interests always directed me towards social service, aiming to ease the suffering of the people and help the needy. With that intention, I started Kovida Sahrudaya Foundation in 2014, a non-profitable NGO that dedicates itself to serving humanity selflessly.
As the chairperson of HRCI (Human Rights Council of India) – South Region (till date), I have always dedicated my life to fighting for the rights of the public.
As part of my social initiatives at KSF, I have had an opportunity to help the needy without any prejudice of caste, region, and religion. I have initiated a program called, “Feed The Need” to ease the suffering of common people during the tough time of COVID-19 pandemic. I have also worked and associated with several bodies, both government and NGO’s in serving mankind.
I am a strong believer in the Karmic laws that built our mighty nation and I always respect the Sanathana Dharma, the very foundation of our country. I have adopted many temples that lost their significance because of a lack of maintenance. I believe that when we are strong on a spiritual level, we can be strong in every sector. Till date, we have adopted 11 temples in both the Telugu states and we intend to adopt at least one temple in every district in the two states.
We have taken a decision to perform 108 marriages of disabled and poor persons and till now, have done 49 marriages. We helped transgender community on numerous occasions, and nominated them for honorable posts in prestigious public bodies so that they can lead their lives in society with respect.
Our Honourable Prime Minister has initiated the program Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the intention to celebrate the 75th Independence Day of India. Taking a lead from that initiative, we planned to conduct altruistic programs in 75 different ways celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Having said that, I still believe this is just the beginning and I look forward to do my bit for the welfare of the needy and to positivity impact the lives of the society.”
