“What does a 39-year-old businessman do when he is diagnosed with chronically high blood pressure? Most would resort to a regimen balancing their diet with pills and hope for the best. Well, even I was diagnosed with high BP in 2007. But instead of picking up the meds, I picked up my running shoes and hit the road. What started with morning strolls around the park, led me to complete 4 half marathons. That certainly improved my health, and so did my spirit. I felt I had the energy to do more, explore more, and find what my limits were. To break them, I got enrolled myself in courses across all terrains.
I have completed courses in Skiing, Paragliding, and Scuba diving before I heard the calling from the mountains. The adrenaline released at the summit of a mountain filled me with excitement and made me become a mountaineer. My first stop in this new journey was the Everest base camp. Gazing at the magnificent Mount Everest made me realize that this is how I wanted to see the world- by being on top of it.
I set on my way to summit the tallest peak in each continent- and have conquered Australia (Mt. Kosciuszko), Europe (Mt. Elbrus), Africa (Mt. Kilimanjaro), and now- South America (Mt. Aconcagua).
I have conquered the business world- starting from scratch and building an empire that traverses multiple industries- Cables, Lights, Lubricants, and Automotives. My grit has helped me build a business empire and has now helped me achieve my personal ambitions.
Now as I progress towards my final three, the task gets tougher. But I am determined to complete the summits. After all these years of experience, I have learned one thing in life, a setback doesn’t need to hold you back, it could unleash you, and send you to the top of the world.”
