“My name is Ruheen and I’m a Chef. I have my own food business and I cook for exclusive clients.
This year started with the biggest challenge where I had decided to step up for myself. It was not easy. It came with a lot of situations that made me face my fears. It was not a cake walk, it still is not.
Apart from that, I challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone of cooking for limited clientele. I went out, cooked along with some of the greatest chefs in the country, which led me to fulfil my dream of travelling and cooking Hyderabadi food. Everywhere I went, I was appreciated for my work.
My biggest moment this year was when I got a chance to cook and serve the president’s family. I was called out of the kitchen to their table, as they wanted to compliment the chef. That is something i will never forget.
I started making more changes in me rather than waiting for changes to happen. I had to better myself for something better to happen. I lost people who are close to my heart this year but at the same time I found myself. I got to realize the value of being kind, being calm, being there for others without expectations. I just hope that the year 2023 will bring more opportunities and peace among everyone.”
