“I didn’t have a long term plan for my future, but I knew I was passionate about a lot of things. So I have never stuck to one particular job in my journey so far. I had done farming for a few years in my hometown Kakinada along with a few odd jobs before moving here. I felt Hyderabad was a good place to earn a decent living so that I could build a house for my family. My wife suggested I try this mobile tiffin business. I felt it’s a good business option considering the demand in the city. That’s how I started this business in 2009 and there was no looking back. There were days where I used to sell a plate of tiffin for Rs. 5 but now I sell a plate of tiffin for Rs. 15. Things were going well and I was close to achieving my dreams. However, life went down south when the covid pandemic struck the country. I had to shut my tiffin stall due to a lack of income for more than 6 months. However, things started to improve gradually. My wife has also started working and we both are trying to rebuild everything from scratch right now to set the things back on track.”
